Das Ziel ist, zu klären, ob das Leben mit einer Hochbegabung ausschließlich die im Volksmund bekannten Vorteile oder auch Probleme mit sich bringt.

Diese Persönlichkeitstypen gehen wiederum mit einer schulischen Minderleistung einher, welche als Underachievement bezeichnet wird. Dieses Phänomen, seine Gründe sowie die Folgen werden anschließend thematisiert. Danach wird insbesondere auf schwerwiegende psychische Folgen für das Selbstwertgefühl, sowie auf die Ausbildung von Aggressionen bis hin zu Depressionen eingegangen.
